Gluing the tabs into place that will hold the toroid coil. Here I am using an angle as a guide to hold the tab in place as well as holding it at the proper 90 degree angle. Note the area where we have been removing material from the CPVC tube. As is often the case with this project the plans didn't reflect potential problems with assembly. In this case the toroid coil would not fit into the ID of the tube as called for in the plans. We had to remove material from the ID of the CPVC tube in order for the toroid coil to slide in. This means the structural integrity of the unit now has been compromised. However, we found a suitable solution as you will see in the pictures that follow.
