In this picture you see the welded air fitting and now the flange is welded on the exhaust pipe so it can be bolted to the header already on the engine. Of course, I test fitted this on the header to be sure before welding it. The center tube now has the end cap on it with the hole that was drilled to slide onto the end of the air fitting now welded into the exhaust pipe. The other end away from the end cap has been threaded by yours truly with 3/8" NPT threads to accept fittings without having any increase in size of the OD of the pipe for smooth exhaust flow. The brown tape you see on the center tube is left over from when the PVC pipe was there to help center the center tube in the exhaust pipe for alignment before welding the air fitting to the exhaust pipe. That will be removed also.
