This is how I abraded the surface area of the inner tube and trued up the uniformity of the tube. Using a belt sander with a 60 grit coarse belt I diagonally sanded this rotating it carefully. This requires a good eye to make note of the uniformity of the surface and to continue until the high areas are evened out until everything is perfectly flat and uniform.
