Using only 2 fittings, one upper and one lower fitting, it would increase flow to keep the ID of the fitting and hose at least 5/16" to 3/8" minimum. Also the water tank should not be lower than the top of the dry cell. The higher the water tank is mounted over the dry cell the less important it becomes to have the overflow bottle especially if there is a good splash shield in the water tank and the water tank isn't over filled.
